Teri Tidwell, owner of the Nail Studio in downtown Jackson, announced March 6, that she is running for Clarke County Commissioner District 4.

Tidwell studied accounting and finance at Charleston Southern University and has experience working in human resource management, environmental services and business management. She has been a member of the Clarke County Democratic Executive Committee for the past 12 years and makes her home in the

Gainestown community. She is the mother of Tess Tidwell, a varsity cheerleader at Jackson High School.

"It is time we take our county government seriously and understand we must have a strong team of commissioners that can tackle the challenges that we are facing here in Clarke County if we intend to overcome the problems we currently face economically," she said. "I am a hard worker and if given this opportunity, I will work very hard for the citizens of Clarke County to make them proud of their community and a commissioner they can be proud of.

"I ask for your vote and your support on June 3. We owe it to ourselves to choose the best qualified person for the job."
