License Commissioner Goodman runs again
Clarke County and Municipal Political Annoucements

Goodman
Linda Goodman is seeking reelection as Clarke County License Commissioner.

She has been employed in the License Commission office for 20 years. She served 13 years as chief clerk and took office as license commissioner in 2003.

Goodman is currently serving on the Board of Directors of the Association of Alabama Tax Administrators First Congressional District, as secretary of Clarke County Courthouse Security Committee and is a 2004 graduate of Clarke County Leadership. She is a member of the Democratic Executive Committee, the Probate Judges Association and the Alabama Democratic Conference.

The license commissioner office is a collection agency for the state, county, and municipalities, she said. "They do not have the authority to make the law, only uphold it.

"The citizens of Clarke County vote on county commissioners to handle county affairs. The $25 additional tag fee was adopted by the Clarke County Commissioners for economic development. The county commissioners have the power to adopt local laws and get them passed through the legislation without the vote of the people."

She is married to Dale Goodman, and they are members of the Bassett Creek Baptist Church.

Goodman would like to thank everyone for their continued support and confidence in her as license commissioner.
