      Lou Boykin, director of the Clarke County Department of Human Resources (DHR) said the agency is looking for assistance for a homeless family. Boykin said the family consists of a mother, hr 60-plus year-old mother and two boys, ages seven and 14.

Alabama House passes bill that would allow any municipality in state to vote on alcohol sales

      The Alabama House of Representatives approved a bill Tuesday to allow any municipalities in the state- regardless of population- to vote on the sale of alcoholic beverages. The vote was 46-38 with Rep. Marc Keahey, D-Grove Hill, and Rep. Thomas Jackson, DThomasville, voting for the bill.
