Important dates approaching for CCHS students
By Jake Paul Special to The Democrat

Spring Break has come and gone, and now we are in the home stretch! With less than two months to go of this school year, students are eagerly anticipating wrapping up this year, but not before some of these important dates.

This Friday, April 4, will be Prom 2008. Pictures will begin at 4 p.m. and last until 7:45. Prom will kick off at 8 and ends at midnight. All students are reminded to abide by the prom dress code and to conduct proper behavior.

The following Wednesday, April 9, class ring deposits are due for the 2008-2009 school year. On April 10, Seniors are to turn in their ballots for class flower, colors, motto, poem, and song. Information that can be used for the history and prophecy of the class is also due at this time.

Seniors are also encouraged to turn in a recent photo along with a baby picture for the senior video. All of this information is due April 10 to Mrs. Baugh.

Schedule registration will be held April 14-16. This will give the underclassmen the opportunity to select their classes for the up-and-coming academic year.

Progress reports will be issued Friday, April 18. And the following Monday, April 21, will be a half a day for students.

Senior Memory Night and Awards Night will be May 8. Awards Night will begin at 6 p.m., and Memory Night will follow immediately after.

Senior exams will be administered May 19-20 and underclassmen exams will be the following week.

The day that the senior class has been looking forward to is set for May 23. Graduation practices will be May 22 at 9 a.m. and on May 23 at 9 a.m.

Graduation will be at 6:30 p.m. at H.G. Prim Stadium.

For the underclassmen, their final day of school will be May 29.
