New Faith revival

New Faith Baptist Church in Coffeeville will host its spring revival entitled "God does change lives," beginning Friday, April 11 through Sunday, April 13. Friday and Saturday night services will begin at 7 p.m. Sunday morning at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. The speaker on Friday will be Jamey Dunagan and Saturday, Johnnie Stewart, Sunday morning, Gene Jemison and Sunday night, Chad McHarrey. There will be special music each night. Butch Starks is the pastor.

Creel's Chapel

Creel's Chapel United Methodist Church will have a singing featuring The Glory Road Quartet Saturday, April 12 at 7 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend.

Women's Day

Wilson Chapel A.M.E. Church will celebrate Women's Day Sunday, April 13 at 2:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be Minister Yvette Cook Taylor of Mobile. Rev. Levi H. Marshall is the pastor.

GH Missionary

Grove Hill Missionary Baptist Church in the Uriah Community of Eliska will host a singing program in honor of Pastor T.L. Douglas Sunday, April 13 at 5 p.m. All groups, choirs and soloists are invited to participate. Sponsored by Sis. Kizzie Gardner. Rev. T.L. Douglas is the pastor and honoree.

Morning Star Baptist Church Cemetery Committee is having its annual fundraising program Sunday, April 13 at 2 p.m. for the following cemeteries, Herron Hill, Cleveland Harris and Hill Cemetery. The special guest will be Rev. Walter Bracy of Mobile and The Barbara Martin Group of Montgomery.

Chance Baptist

revival Chance Baptist Church will have a three night spring revival Monday, April 14 through Wednesday, April 16 at 7 p.m. nightly. Rev. Cleo McGrew of Silas will be the guest speaker. Rev. C.L. Marshall is the pastor. All surrounding churches are invited.

St. Luke revival

St. Luke Baptist Church of Grove Hill will have its spring revival Monday, April 14 through Wednesday, April 16 at 7 p.m. nightly. Rev. Delmeco Williams will be the evangelist for the revival. There will be a gospel concert Saturday, April 26 at 6 p.m. Dr. Feelgood will be the emcee.

Praise Night set

Singing at

New Home

"Naomi and The Segos" will be in concert at the New Home Church near Monroeville Friday, April 18. Supper will be served at 5 until 7 p.m. Plates will be $6 including desert and drink. Carry outs will be available. The singing will begin at 7 p.m. New Home Church is located between Monroeville and Repton just north of U.S. Highway 84 East. Clarke County Development Foundation in conjunction with Pineview Baptist Church will host the Maximum Impact satellite simulcast Friday, April 18 from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. The church is located on Highway 43 South in Thomasville. The ticket price includes lunch with a morning and afternoon snack. Tickets are now available.

No. 2 benefit

Mackey Branch No. 2 Baptist Church in Whatley will have a benefit program for Deacon Eddie Hill Sr. and Bro. Don Cleo Coleman Saturday, April 19 at 7 p.m. All choirs, soloists, groups and donations are needed. This program is sponsored by the deacon board. The host guests will be the New Gospel Harmonnaires of Grove Hill. Sis. Ethel Evans is the clerk. Rev. Dave Adams is the pastor.

Truevine Baptist Church will have its second annual basketball tournament Saturday, June 7 at 9 a.m. at the Clarke County High School Gymnasium.

There will be first, second and third place prizes to be given away. Each player on each team is asked to pay $5 for ages 15 and up and the tournament is only for boys and men.
