Norris announces for revenue commissioner

Norris
Terry L. Norris has qualified to run for the office of Clarke County Revenue Commissioner as a Democrat.

She has served in the revenue commissioner's office for 15 years as a clerk in both Mapping and Appraisal and Collection. She is a member of the Alabama Association of Assessing Officials and has completed the Support Staff Level 1 in the Alabama

Property Tax Education and Certification Program conducted by Auburn University.

Norris is married to Dan Norris. She has two sons, Kyle Norris who serves in the United States Air Force, and Danny Norris, a student at Auburn University, both graduates of Clarke County High School.

She attends Grove Hill United Methodist Church and has served as a trustee, on the pastor/parish relations committee, Council on Ministries, Administrative Board and is currently the Family and Wednesday Night Coordinator.

She is Vice-President of the Grove Hill Arts Council, secretary for the Grove Hill Civitan Club, program chairperson for the Clarke County Historical Society, and active in United Way, American Legion, and the Clarke County Development Foundation. She is a graduate of Leadership Clarke County and a past board member.

"I have been pleased to serve the people of Clarke County as a clerk for these many years and now ask for your vote to serve you as your Revenue Commissioner," Norris said.
