Carlton

Dorothy Juanita Stallworth Carlton, 78, of Lower Peach Tree died March 5, 2008 at Mobile Infirmary.

She was born Sept. 21, 1929. She was a retired educator of 35 years in Wilcox and Clarke Counties School Systems. She was a member of the National Education Association, Alabama Education Association, Alabama Retired Teachers Association, NAACP and Universal Brotherhood.

Survivors include eight children, Joyce (Kelvin) Ireland, Aundrey Wilkins, Vivian Carlton, James Carlton, Sandra (Lonnie) Johnson, Ethel (Kenneth) Smith, Reseian Gaither, Chonna Carlton; seven brothers, James (Leola) McFadden, Billy (Irene) McFadden, Fred (Antionette) McFadden, Ernest McFadden, Sherman McFadden Jr., David Carter; one sister, Patricia (Clarence) Merritt; 22 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

The service was March 9 at the St. John Baptist Church of Lower Peach Tree. Burial was in the McFadden Cemetery in Thomasville. Christian Memorial Funeral Home of Camden directed.
