Several murder cases on court docket Criminal jury term begins Monday, April 14 in Clarke County Circuit Court. Several murder cases are listed on Judge Thomas Baxter's docket. Judge D.P. Scurlock will also be hearing cases. Byron D. Worthy, Arthur Yelder, Jamie S. Yelder and Derrick Bracy are scheduled to stand trial for the shooting death of Quinton L. Webb. Webb and his cousin, Maurice Williams, were standing outside the Star Track Lounge in Alma when shots were fired at them from a vehicle. Webb was killed and Williams was injured with a .22 caliber pistol. All four men were in the vehicle along with Sherwin Parker. Parker has already been tried and was convicted of murder. Trenton Jauwan McLain is charged with the shooting death of Jamaury Whittaker in September 2006. Whittaker was shot with a shotgun. Sharon Linton Rutherford is charged with solicitation of murder. She was recently found guilty of enticing a child to enter a room or vehicle for immoral purposes. The high school English teacher had an affair with one of her students and allegedly tried to have the student kill her husband. Norris Geane Marks is on the docket to be tried for murder. He is accused of shooting Ernest Richardson with a 12 gauge shotgun in December 2006. Judge Baxter's docket Rick James Jackson, sodomy, first degree, assault, second degree.
