Bassett Creek

gospel singing

Bassett Creek Baptist Church will have a special gospel singer, Jerry Trammel Thursday, (tonight), April 17 at 7 p.m.

He sang tenor for the Florida Boys and was featured on "Gospel Singing Jubilee" throughout the 70s and 80s. He also sang with the Blackwood Brothers and J.D. Sumner and the Stamps in the 90s. He will not only share some of the great Southern gospel songs that he is known for, he will also sing some great new material and give his personal testimony of God's deliverance from alcohol addiction. Come early to secure your seat.

No admission will be charged. A love offering will be received in support of this ministry. Bassett Creek Baptist Church is located off Hwy. 43 approximately 3 miles north of Grove Hill. For directions or more information please call the church at 275-8063. Rev. Chris Kynard is the pastor.

Praise Night set

Singing at

New Home

"Naomi and The Segos" will be in concert at the New Home Church near Monroeville Friday, April 18. Supper will be served at 5 until 7 p.m. Plates will be $6 including desert and drink. Carry outs will be available. The singing will begin at 7 p.m. New Home Church is located between Monroeville and Repton just north of U.S. Highway 84 East. Revs. Kenneth Johnson and Thomas Smith invite everyone to attend.

Maximum Impact

at Pineview

Clarke County Development Foundation in conjunction with Pineview Baptist Church will host the Maximum Impact satellite simulcast Friday, April 18 from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. The church is located on Highway 43 South in Thomasville. The ticket price includes lunch with a morning and afternoon snack. Tickets are now available.

Working day at

Salem cemetery

Salem Baptist Church will have a cemetery working Saturday, April 19 and 26. If you have flowers that need to be removed, please do so or they will be taken away. It is also time for donations to be made for the upkeep of the cemeteries.

Mackey Branch

No. 2 benefit

Mackey Branch No. 2 Baptist Church in Whatley will have a benefit program for Deacon Eddie Hill Sr. and Bro. Don Cleo Coleman Saturday, April 19 at 7 p.m. All choirs, soloists, groups and donations are needed. This program is sponsored by the deacon board. The host guests will be the New Gospel Harmonnaires of Grove Hill. Sis. Ethel Evans is the clerk. Rev. Dave Adams is the pastor.
