Theft at Clarke Mobile Gas

The Jackson Police Department is investigating the report of two missing projectors from the new Clarke Mobile Counties Gas District building on Ocre Avenue.

According to Jackson Police Investigator Richard Harvey, the projectors, valued at $3,500, were reported missing Monday, April 14 and were taken sometime between April 7-14.

"We are currently following up on several leads and feel confident we will be able to solve this case," said Harvey.

He added that there were no signs of forced entry into the building.

Other burglaries reported

Two other burglaries were reported to the department during the past week.

The first was reported on April 11 at a residence in the 100 block of Harris Street. According to police reports, entry into the residence was gained through a window which was broken. Nothing was reported stolen.

The second burglary was reported April 12 and occurred at a residence in the 100 block of Coffeeville Road.

Reported stolen were a microwave oven, television, video cassette recorder, scanner and three sets of china, valued at a total of $1,000.
