Relay delay turns out to be good The sky was blue with only a hint of a few clouds last Friday afternoon and it looked like it might have been a mistake to call off Grove Hill's Relay for Life because of threatening weather. About 5 or 5:30 p.m., a strong storm cell developed in east Mississippi and blew across Washington and Choctaw counties, toppling trees and downing some power lines. The storm continued across the Tombigbee River between Coffeeville and Tattlersville and continued east before turning north before reaching Grove Hill. The county seat still substained a good bit of wind and rain and the rain continued throughout the night.
Relay for Life has been reset for this Friday. See Page 2B for details.
