Heaton

Mirian Parsons Heaton, 81, of Butler died April 11 unexpectedly at her residence.

She was a retired school principle, retiring from the Choctaw County Public School system.

Survivors include her twin sister, Mrs. Vivian (Wyman) Gilmore, Grove Hill; a brotherin law, Mack Heaton, Wilsonville; nieces and nephews, Wyman O. Gilmore Jr., Fredrick Parsons Gilmore, Wylynn Gilmore Phillippi, Joy Wilkerson, Tracy Wyatt; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Heaton in 1988.

The service was April 13 at 3 p.m. at the Bumpers Funeral Home Chapel of Butler. Burial was in the Butler City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Butler Building Fund, P.O. Box 538, Butler, AL 36904.

Active pallbearers were Wyman Oscar Gilmore Jr., Fredrick Parsons Gilmore, William Robertson Phillipi Jr., William Robertson Phillippi III, Wyman Gilmore Phillippi, Wyman Oscar Gilmore III, William Parsons Gilmore, Roderick Bumpers Jr. and Rocky Bumpers.

Honorary pallbearers were the mayor and city council of Butler.
