Johnson

Anita Arlene Johnson, 43, of Eufaula died April 6, 2008 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan.

She was born Dec. 14, 1964 in Satsuma. She was a member of the White Oak United Methodist Church. She was employed in law enforcement in Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee. She had been a corporate collections agent in Tennessee. She was a former resident of Grove Hill.

Survivors include her parents, Albert Lonnie and Sandra Marie Mauldin Phelps of Eufaula; one daughter, Veronica Nadine Johnson, Eufaula; one brother, Albert Lonnie Phelps III, Tuscon, AZ; one granddaughter, Alyssa Naomi Johnson, Eufaula; several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and friends.

The service was April 9 at 11 a.m. at Chapman Funeral Home Chapel in Eufaula with Revs. Gus Howerton and Donna Cody officiating. Burial was in the White Oak United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Dennis Williams, Hugh Milner, Alfred Pate, James Orr, Ken Middlebrooks, Ken Dykes and Travis Parga.
