Gators fall to Cottage Hill in extra innings

The Clarke Prep School Gators took a tough loss, falling 7-6 to Cottage Hill in 13 innings Tuesday night.

Chad Dickinson and Dillon Rowell each had two hits. Taylor Becton and J.D. Powell each had a hit and an RBI. Jason Gates had a solo home run. Tanner Tucker and Austin Lee Crawford each added a hit.

Tucker pitched five and a third innings, allowing two hits. Rowell pitched one and a third innings. Dickinon and Powell each hurled three frames.

On Saturday the Gators traveled to Mobile to continue a game that had been halted for bad weather on Friday in Grove Hill against Faith.

CPS lost that game 15-3.

Dickinson had two hits and an RBI. Rowell and Crawford each had an RBI. Heath Bishop had a double. Powell and Tucker both had one hit.

Dickinson, Gates and Powell all pitched in the contest.

Clarke Prep hosts Morgan Academy Thursday and senior recognition will start at 3:30.
