Relay For Life
Annual event raises almost $49,000 for American Cancer Society

The annual Relay for Life event to benefit the American Cancer Society was held April 18 at the Clarke County Museum in Grove Hill. The event raised approximately $48,923. Cancer survivors were honored at the Helms House. Laurie Pritchett (top middle) was recognized as a survivor. Darryl Brunson, Roy Brunson and Claude Agee (top right) sang the National Anthem. Doug Sewell (above left) gave out roses to the survivors. A ribbon ceremony was held before survivors took the first lap of the relay. Photos by Barry H. Hendrix
