Chance resident enjoys birthday lunch at Ezell's

Chance resident Retha Marshall celebrated her birthday with a luncheon at Ezell's Fish Camp in Lavaca. Her son, Leo Jr., traveled home from Denver, Colo. For the occasion. Also in attendance were her two daughters, Marie and Gloria, son-in-law, Alfonza, son Charley, daughter-in-law, Gail, grandson, Dennis, granddaughter, Melisa and her husband, Rocky. Great-grandson, R.J. was also present. Other family and friends were there and everyone present enjoyed good food and good conversation with the birthday lady. She is proud to let everyone know that she is now 82 years old.

Mrs. Annie Lee Welch of Chance and her family members traveled to White Hall on this past Sunday to witness the baptism of her great-granddaughter, who is the daughter of her granddaughter, Nina. Nina is the daughter of Chance native, Dr. Katie Jackson and White Hall Mayor John Jackson. The Jacksons recently attended Family and Friends Day at Chance Baptist. The baptism was a joyous occasion for the family and gave everyone a chance to socialize with those that they hadn't seen in a while. Everyone enjoyed themselves.
