Parden

Bernice Dunagan Parden, 87, of Jackson died April 25, 2008 at her residence.

She was born April 11, 1921 in Coffeeville. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Coffeeville. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry A. (Patricia) Parden, Coffeeville, James Levi (Pat) Parden, Fairhope; two daughters, Bernice Paulette (Tom) Brooks, Coffeeville, Patsy Jo (Charles) Burge, Jackson; one brother, Henry Dunagan, Coffeeville; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

The service was April 28 at 2 p.m. at Ulcanush Baptist Church in Coffeeville with Revs. Warren Shewmake and William Allison officiating. Burial was in the Ulcanush Baptist Church Cemetery. Lathan Funeral Home of Jackson directed.

Active pallbearers were Greg Autry, Jamie Johnson, Shane Parden, Robert Galbraith, Marlow Bennett, Bruce Mathers and Johnny Autry.

Honorary pallbearers were Norman Downey, Alton Wiggins, Donnie Lee Parden, Willie Parden, Grant Parden, James Dunagan, Le Roy Dunagan, Steve Williams, Gary Williams and Quitman Parden.
