Ludie Alston Stone, 93, of Thomasville died April 24, 2008 at a Jackson Health Care Facility.

She was born June 3, 1914 in Magnolia. She was a native of Magnolia. She was a member of Magnolia United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Magnolia High School. She was a former secretary with the U.S. Air Force.

Survivors include one sister, Emma Alston Parker, Thomasville; a niece, Cecilia Alston Adams, St. Stephens; nephew-in-law, Vester C. Ott, Thomasville; two greatnephews, William Alston Adams, Cincinnati, Ohio, Jonathan Melton Adams, Dallas, Texas; one great-niece, Ashlie Adams (Alex) Flowers, St. Stephens; one great-greatnephew, Haas Alexander Flowers; one great-great-niece, Margaret Faith Flowers, both of St. Stephens.

She was preceded in death by her father, Nathaniel Lowery Alston, her mother, Willie Henderson Alston; her husband, Phillip W. Stone, one brother, Cecil J. Alston; one sister, Margaret Alston Pope and a niece, Betsy Parker Ott.

A graveside service was April 26 at 11 a.m. at Magnolia Cemetery in Magnolia with Rev. James Morgan officiating. O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home directed.
