Local teams end softball seasons

Lady Gators lose at state

The Clarke Prep School Lady Gators saw their run through the AISA state Class AAA softball tournament come to an end last Friday as they lost 6-2 to Edgewood.

Corrie Allen went 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI. Haley Hill added a double. Courtney Dunagan and Stephanie Sales each had a hit.

Tess Ackerman took the loss.

In the first game of the tourney Clarke Prep lost 4-0 to the Glenwood School.

Sales had a triple. Allen and Anna Hicks each had a hit.

Allen took the loss. The Lady Gators end the season with a 24-13 record.

CCHS falls in area tourney

The softball season came to an end for the Clarke County High School Lady Bulldogs as they lost two games in the Area Tourament last week.

Last Thursday the Lady Bulldogs lost 11-3 to Washington County in the first game of the tourney.

Halie Moore went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Ericka Williams and Gioia Jackson each added a hit.

In the second game they lost 10-6 to WCHS.

Brittney Harvell went 3-for-4. MeMe Martin was 2-for-4 with a homer, double and three RBI. Halie Moore went 2-for-3. Nikki Williams added a hit.

Abbey Walker took the loss in each game.
