WHMS band members participate in UNA Honor Band

Aaron Gregory, Raven Allen, and Avery Gregory traveled to Florence on the weekend of April 25-27 to represent the Wilson Hall Middle School Band in the University of North Alabama Honor Band.

They were selected based on their honors and achievements in band and their director's recommendation. The UNA Band Program had over 1,000 applications for this year's honor band, but only selected 300 band members to participate.

After two days of intensive rehearsals, the Honor Band students presented an excellent concert that was recorded to DVD for public sale.

Raven is the sixth grade daughter of Ruth Allen and Joe Allen and Aaron and Avery are the sons of Bryan and Lucinda Gregory. Aaron is an eighth grader and Avery is a sixth grader.

Many thanks to Ruth Allen, Lucinda Gregory, and (grandmother) Faye Duke for driving these outstanding students to Florence and chaperoning the weekend there.
