Alston to celebrate 103rd birthday July 6

Willie James Alston will celebrate his 103rd birthday Sunday, July 6 at 2 p.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Coffeeville. Rev. Albert Ridgeway is the pastor.
Mr. Alston's wife is Willodean. They have five children, Vonciel Caver, Margaret Moore, Grace Robinson, John Moss and Taylor Moss and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Mr. Alston is a World War II veteran having served as a mail carrier. He is also a dedicated member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church.
Family and friends are invited to attend this glorious occasion. The guest speaker will be Rev. Fredrick Thompson of Mobile. Dinner will be served.
