Naval base building named for C'ville native

Coffeeville native Jim Faircloth recently had a building at the Orange Park, Fla. U.S. Navy facility named for him. The building is "The Naval Air Systems Command Reclamation and Reutilization Facility Building." Faircloth, a 22.5-year veteran of the navy was honored for helping document cost savings of over $90 million to the government through a program he initiated as a contract employee of the navy. Faircloth also worked for Sikorsky Aircraft for 13 years. Shown are Mary and Jim Faircloth, their daughter Ramona Lynn, granddaughter Melissa and her dad and the Faircloths' son, Mark.

   The headline could have read "Miss Odie's Grandson has Naval base building named for him!"

Jim is my first cousin. I am glad he was honored with this.
