McRee joins First United Security Bank
President/CEO Terry Phillips welcomed McRee and said his responsibilities will include lending, business development and administration. "I am excited to be in Thomasville and to be a part of the management team at First United Security Bank. I grew up in Clarke County, Mississippi near Quitman, graduated from Mississippi State University and have been in banking for 31 years," McRee said. "Everyone in the Thomasville area and with the bank have welcomed me with 'open arms'. It's been a great beginning and I look forward to living and working with the citizens, business leaders, government officials and First United Security Bank in helping build a strong economic future." Among other accomplishments, McRee has served in executive level positions for the financial services industry more than three decades in Mississippi, Alabama and Louisiana, primarily with the Federal Land Bank. He holds a degree from Mississippi State University (BS 1977) where he also played football for four years. McRee's community and professional involvement span his career with executive leadership positions in agri-business organizations such as Mississippi Future Farmers of America Foundation, Mississippi Council of Cooperatives, as well as involvement in economic development and agribusiness councils and chambers of commerce. He and his wife, Joan, plan to reside in Thomasville as soon as possible.
They have been married for 28 years and have two grown children, Kristen, 26, and Justin, 22.
