Gators have rough showing at MA
"We were poorly prepared and out-coached," Coach Billy Hamilton said. "They have a very good football team but we just didn't play very well." "The players are feeling a little down right now because we haven't been in a position like this in a long time," he said. The Gators were limited to just 56 yards rushing and 16 yards passing in the region contest. "We could have or should have played much better," he added. "This is my team and it is my fault when we play bad. "But we are also so close to hitting the big plays and turning things around," he said. "Once we get to that point good things are going to happen." The Gators (0-2, 0-1) look to get in the win column this week as they host Wilcox Academy (1- 2, 0-1) this Friday night. "They have some young talent and have lost to some good football teams," Hamilton said. "Coach (Chris) Burford does a good job at Wilcox and they will be ready to play."
Game time at Hamilton Field is set for 7 p.m.
