GOP candidates encounter Yellow Dog

Mary Windom and Beth Kellum, Republican candidates for the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals, found a hard-sell prospect in former District Attorney Bobby Keahey when the GOP's "Hometown Connection" bus tour stopped in Grove Hill last Thursday. Keahey is a staunch Democrat who could even be termed a "Yellow Dog." Also on the bus were Twinkle Cavanaugh, candidate for PSC president, and representatives for Judge Bill Thompson, candidate for Court of Civil Appeals, and Judge Greg Shaw, candidate for the Alabama Supreme Court. Visible behind Keahey is Edmon McKinley, Clarke County Republican Party Chairman. Photo by Ross Wood
