Pope

Mildred Elaine McGilberry Pope, 70, of Mobile died Sept. 27, 2008 at Mobile Infirmary West.

She was born Dec. 7, 1932. She was a native of Pine Hill. She was a longtime church organist serving several churches in Mobile. She was a realtor in Mobile for over 30 years.

Survivors include one son, Randy (Deirdre) Pope, Denver, Colo.; two daughters, Debbie (Russell) Lindley, Dayton, Ohio, Kathy Cope, Evergreen; one sister, Pearl Autery, Pine Hill; one grandson, Jacob Lindley, Dayton, Ohio; two granddaughters, Meredith Lindley, Dayton, Ohio, Kelsey Cope, Evergreen; several nephews, nieces and other relatives.

The service was Sept. 29 with Rev. Taylor Morgan officiating. Burial was in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Pine Hill. O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Thomasville directed.

Active pallbearers were Rex Martin, Shannon Martin, Alvin Autery, Bill Cope, Ellis Pope and Paul Autery.
