Jon Warren Lamey, 22, died Jan. 3, 2009 in Tibbie.

He was born July 8, 1986. He was a native of Mobile. He graduated in 2004 from WCHS. He earned an associate degree from Alabama Southern in Applied Science/Paper and Chemical Technology. He was an avid duck hunter, enjoyed sports, fishing and hunting and especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was an operator with Ciba Corporation in McIntosh.

Survivors include his father, Robert "Buster" (Kristy) Lamey, Chatom; his mother, Robin Clark Lamey, Mobile; two brothers, Robert (Kim) Lamey Jr., Chickasaw, Joshua Lamey, Chatom; three sisters, Keysha Lamey, Mobile, Ashley Lamey, Tibbie, Sierra McNeil, Chatom; grandparents, John Henry and Madelaide Lamey, Alabama Port, Billy Clark, Tibbie; special friend, Terri Glass, Tibbie; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Elaine Clark.

A graveside service was Jan. 5 at 1 p.m. at Howardtown Baptist Church Cemetery in Tibbie with Bro. Edward Howard officiating. St. Stephens Funeral Home directed.

Active pallbearers were Justin Williams, Daniel Byrd, William Glass, JoJo Glass, Bucky Richardson, Joseph Parnell, Paul Howard, Tyler Cotton, Drew Reynolds and Kyle Cotton.

Honorary pallbearers were the WCHS Class of 2004 and fellow football players. (51-1tc)
