Glover Cleveland "Pappy" Gamble, 55, of Jackson died Feb. 5, 2009 at St. Luke Hopsital in Jacksonville, Fla. He was born Jan. 23, 1953.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Gamble, Jackson; two daughters, Jana (Michael) Wheat, Jacksonville, Fla., Wendy Gamble, Mobile; two step-sons, Ladredge Madison, Cedric Garraway, both of Jackson; three step-daughters, Lauretta Garraway, Paula Campbell, both of Jackson, Lisa Jackson, Lower Peach Tree; one brother, Maple Lee (Louise) Gamble, Mobile; three sisters, Lucille Jackson DuBose, Marion Goodwin, Ulica (Kawaski) Pernell, all of Jackson; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe and Alvistene Gamble, one daughter, Danielle Brown and one sister, Shelia James.
The service will be Saturday, Feb. 14 at 11 a.m. A viewing will begin at 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral hour at Jackson A.O.H. Church in Jackson with Overseer Frank Mitchell, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Jackson. Jackson Memorial Funeral Home will direct.
