Theresa May Pruitt, 80, of Thomasville died Feb. 14, 2009 at Mobile Infirmary.
She was born May 7, 1928 in Japan. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Robert M. Pruitt, Thomasville; three sons, Chris A. Pruitt Sr., Painsville, Ohio, Philip Pruitt, Thomasville, Arthur Carter Jr., Lake Mary, Fla.; one daughter, Linda (Michael) Thompson, Thomasville; six grandchildren, Ashley Wallace, Thomasville, Chris A. Pruitt Jr., Heather Pruitt, both of Painsville, Ohio, Robert J. Pruitt, Orlando, Fla., Meiako Carter, Lake Mary, Fla., Braxton Thompson, Thomasville; one great-grandchild, Amelia Snow, Lake Mary, Fla.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Adrian Carter and Arnold Pruitt.
The service was Feb. 16 at 11 a.m. at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville with Dr. James Best officiating. Burial was in the Choctaw Corner Cemetery in Thomasville.
Active pallbearers were Cliff Stephens, Michael Williams, Winston Pruitt, Carl Henley, Jeffery Williams, Roy Campbell, Jeff Pruitt and Jason Pruitt.
Honorary pallbearers were the staff of the Thomasville Nursing Home.
