Richard Thomas McKinney, 62, of Myrtlewood died Feb. 22, 2009 at South Bladwin Regional Medical Center.

He was born May 14, 1946 in Myrtlewood. He attended Mytlewood United Methodist Church. He was a retired storeroom clerk from Georgia Pacific Corp.

Survivors include his wife, Judy McKinney, Myrtlewood; one son, Richard Kevin McKinney, Myrtlewood; one daughter, Kelley Elizabeth Lindsay, Demopolis; one sister, Joan Rhodes, Uriah; two grandchildren, Sydney Marie Lindsay, Olivia Grace Lindsay, both of Demopolis.

A graveside service was Feb. 25 at 11 a.m. in the Myrtlewood Cemetery with Rev. Steve Walley officiating. O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home directed.

Active pallbearers were Brian Rhodes, Ben Rhodes, Scott Barkley, Johnny Middleton, Barry Compton and Danny Curtis.

Honorary pallbearers were Jerry Ray, Kenneth Puzak, Wayne Norton, Jim Tyler, Bill Nelson, Jerry Huckabee and the storeroom employees of Georgia Pacific.
