William Cue Cravey, 92, of Jackson died March 15, 2009 at a local hospital.

He was born May 13, 1916. He was a native of Winn. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Jackson. He was a World War II veteran having served in the Army Air Corp as a staff sergeant. He was a retired insurance agent.

Survivors include his wife, Frances T. Cravey, Jackson; one son, William Barry (Linda) Cravey, Millbrook; two daughters, Teresa C. (Gene) Pritchett, Whatley, Lisa C. (Jeff) Brooks, Tallassee; three sisters, Minnie Beverly, Thomasville, Della McGowin, Eloise Finley, both of Mobile; seven grandchildren; 11 greatgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie and son, Michael Grimes.

The service was March 18 at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Jackson with Rev. Jim DuFriend officiating. Burial was in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Winn. Lathan Funeral Home of Jackson directed. An online guestbook may be signed at www.lathanfuneralhomes.com.
