Camay "Sack" Thomas, 69, of Jackson died March 28, 2009 at Mobile Infirmary.

He was born Nov. 25, 1939 to the parentage of the late Walter and Willie Ann Scruggs Thomas. He was a native of Allen. He was a faithful member of the Carlton AOH Church. "Sack," as he was affectionately known, retired as a tug boat chef.

Survivors include three sisters, Willie Mae Leonard, Shirley Farnell, both of Jackson, Marietta Curtis, West Palm Beach, Fla.; three brothers, Joseph (Eva) Thomas, Atlanta, Ga., Earl Thomas, West Palm Beach, Fla., Wilson (Cassie) Farnell, Jackson; a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be Saturday, April 4 at 10 a.m. until the 12 noon funeral hour at Jackson AOH Church of God of Jackson with Overseer Frank Mitchell, pastor and Minister Quincy Baldwin, eulogist. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Jackson. Andrews Funeral Home of Jackson directed.
