Thurman Kimball Stacey Sr., 45, of Jackson, died April 3, 2009 at USA Medical Center in Mobile.
He was raised in Monroe County. He was a former resident of Mississippi and Georgia. He graduated from Monroe Academy and attended Patrick Henry Junior College. He had lived in Jackson for the past seven years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Leroy. He had worked for GA West as a heavy equipment operator.
Survivors include his longtime companion, Pam McDonald, Jackson; one son, Thurman Kimball Stacey Jr., Troy; two daughters, Meagan Stacey (Jonathon) Blair, Daphne; Erica Greenwald (Steven) Pharr, Fairhope; two sisters, Vickie S. Lee, Mexia, Judy S. Booker, Frisco City; one sister-in-law, Paul V. Stacey, Monroeville; two grandchildren, Hayden Alan Pharr, Matalie Hastings Pharr; several nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thurman Aubrey and Steen McCrary Stacey and his brother, Wayne Stacey.
The service was April 6 at 10 a.m. at Monroe Chapel Funeral Home with Revs. James Watkins and Dorsey McDonald officiating. Burial was in the Excel Cemetery. Please share your condolences online at www.monroechapel.com.
