Charles Clyde McIlwain, 67, of Tibbie died April 6, 2009.
He was born Feb. 13, 1942. He was a sergeant in the United States Air Force and served in the Vietnam War. He was retired from Searcy Hospital as a mental health worker. He also worked as a truck and trailer mechanic. He enjoyed the outdoors and sitting on the porch.
Survivors include his wife, Elouise McIlwain, Tibbie; one daughter, Sherry (John) Sullivan, Enterprise; one son, Aaron (Nelia) McIlwain, Tibbie; one brother, Bruce McIlwain, Mobile; one sister, Peggy Sullivan, Mobile; four grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren.
The service was April 9 at 2 p.m. with a 21 gun salute honor guard ceremony with Bro. Al Brown officiating at the Fairhope Baptist Church Cemetery in Tibbie. St. Stephens Funeral Home directed.
Active pallbearers were Bill Fights, George Landrum, Grant Landrum, Brad Clark, Greg Deeses and Gregory Deeses.
Honorary pallbearers were Leroy Richie and James Roney.
