Betty Fay Kennon Brown, 51, a native of Chatom and resident of Theodore, died May 5, 2009 at Mobile Infirmary Hospital. She was born March 15, 1957. She was a member of the Alpha and Omega Free Holiness Church of God in Chatom.
Survivors include her husband, Bishop Willie Brown, Theodore; three sons, Willie (Sufronia) Brown Jr., Mobile, Gregory (Monique) Brown, Anthony Tyrone Brown, both of Theodore; his mother and stepfather, Minister Nettie and Joe Bell, Chatom; three daughters, Lashawdree (Timothy) Johnson, Kujwand Brown, both of Theodore, Lorecia (Ben) Bell, Mobile, four brothers, MacArthur Kennon, Leroy, L.C. (Sue) Kennon III, Stateline, Miss., Paul Kennon, Chatom, Alfred (Lisa) Kennon, Foley; four sisters, Nettie Mitchell, Chatom, Patricia Kennon James, Creola, Delores (Leroy) Pugh, Mt. Vernon, Debra McKinnis, Chatom; eight grandchildren.
The service was May 16 at 11 a.m. at McIntosh Church of God Pentecostal with Elder Bobby Powe, pastor and Apostle Freddie Ford officiating. Burial was in the Vaughn Cemetery. Jackson Memorial Funeral Home directed.
