Helen Geneta Drinkard, 81, of Thomasville died May 12, 2009 at USA Medical Center.

She was born April 18, 1928 in Fulton. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. She was a former grocery store clerk.

Survivors include her husband, Clyce K. Drinkard, Thomasville; two sons, Daryl (Susan) Drinkard, Dennis (Wanda) Drinkard, all of Thomasville; two daughters, Adrian Drinkard, Lisa (Mike) Williams, all of Thomasville; two brothers, Mike Williamson, Grove Hill, Mack Williamson, Millry; one sister, Virginia Ann Packard, Huntsville; six grandsons, Shane Thibodeaux, Sean Thibodeaux, Matt Drinkard, Cody Drinkard, Taylor Williams, Tanner Williams; four granddaughters, LaShaye Shivar, Hali Givens, Whitney Drinkard, Chloe Drinkard; six great-grandchildren, Easton Thibodeaux, Crimson Thibodeaux, Kaitlyn Shivar, Corrigan Thibodeaux, Cody Shoemaker, Brayden Williams.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Dora Williamson; one sister, Dorothy Harris, two brothers, Laverne Williamson, Louis (Sambo) Williamson.

The service was May 14 at 11 a.m. with Revs. Bill Faircloth, Ty Parden, Phil Craddock and Dr. James Best officiating. Burial was in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Thomasville. O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Thomasville directed.

Active pallbearers were Shane Thibodeaux, Sean Thibodeaux, Taylor Williams, Tanner Williams, Matt Drinkard, Cody Drinkard and Daniel Givens.

Honorary pallbearers were Liberty Baptist Church 5th and 6th Grade Sunday School Classes and the Liberty Baptist Church Social Committee.
