Lois Goldman Daugherty, 80, of McIntosh died May 11, 2009 at Providence Hospital in Mobile.

She was a member of McIntosh United Methodist Church. She had many hobbies such as gardening and flowers, feeding all sorts of animals which became her pets and was an avid bird lover known as a "bird spotter" for the University of South Alabama. She also loved to crochet and demonstrated this by crocheting a throw for each of her 10 grandchildren.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda Diane (John) Howard, Houston, Texas, Patricia (Steve) Pattillo, Opelika, twin; two sons, Lewis Patrick "Pat" (Carolyn) Daugherty, St. Stephens, twin, Andrew Bruce (Carol) Daugherty, Live Oak, FL; one sister, Louise Braswell, Thomasville; 10 grandchildren, Ben Howard, Tempe, AZ, Jeremy Howard, Houston, TX, Scott Daugherty, Stephen Daugherty, Jordan Daugherty, all of St. Stephens, Justin Koen, Auburn, Jacob Koen, Opelika, Maxwell Daugherty, Alec Daugherty, McKenzie Daugherty, all of Live Oak, FL; five greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Maxwell Daugherty and parents, Elgie and Brucie Goldman.

The service was May 16 at 11 a.m. at McIntosh United Methodist Church with Rev. Molly Fulford officiating. Burial was in the McIntosh Methodist Church Cemetery. St. Stephens Funeral Home directed.

Active pallbearers were Ben Howard, Jeremy Howard, Scott Daugherty, Stephen Daugherty and Jordan Daugherty.

Honorary pallbearers were Justin Koen, Jacob Koen, Maxwell Daugherty, Alec Daugherty and McKenzie Daugherty.
