Maggie Docia "Auntie" Bumpers, 100, of Salitpa died May 25, 2009 at Jackson Health Care Center.
She was born Jan. 14, 1909. She was a native of Coffeeville. She was a member of Union Chapel Methodist Church. She was a retired seamstress of 32 years with Vanity Fair Mills.
Survivors include two brothers, Jude (Kathleen) Bumpers, Coffeeville, Sidney (Helen) Bumpers, Butler.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Edison Bumpers, Ray Bumpers, Melvin Bumpers, Bobby Bumpers; and four sisters, Brittie Earl Hilton, Bessie Young, Gladys Fore and Maude James.
The service was May 27 at 3 p.m. at Lathan Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson with Revs. Kendrick Wilson, Carl Sudduth and Sandylee Rose officiating. Burial was in the Coffeeville Cemetery. An online guest book may be signed at www.lathanfuneralhomes.com.
