Emmett Price "Mac" McMillian, 85, of Fulton died May 22, 2009 at his residence.

He was born Jan. 28, 1924. He was a native of Greenwood, Miss. He was a retired forester for Scotch Lumber Company.

He was a member of the Grove Hill Baptist Church.

He served as a technical sergeant in the 882th Bombardment Squadron in the United States Air Force in World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Maxine Thompkins McMillian, Fulton; five daughters, Brenda (Roy) Schell, Sun Flower, Vicki (Richard) Duke, Palatka, FL, Tina (Howard) Burkhart, Benicia, CA, Cindy McMillan, Chickasaw, Janet (Craig) Scruggs, Jackson; two sisters, Kitty (Joe) Griffin, Oklahoma, City, OK, Millie Hicks, Little Rock, AR; nine grandchildren, Zachary (Christina) Duke, Ash (Denise) Duke, Pam Wiggins, April (Brian) Blackledge, Thomas (Lindsay) Wiggins, Nathan Burkhart, Victoria Burkhart, Summer Scruggs and Cailey Scruggs; one great-grandchild, Kyler Blackledge.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Laverne McMillan.

Visitation and service will be Friday, May 29 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the Fulton Baptist Church with Dr. Howard Burkhart and Rev. Lee Merck officiating. Burial will be in the Henley Cemetery in Fulton with full military honors with the Citronelle American Legion at graveside. Lathan Funeral Home of Jackson will direct.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mr. Mac's caregivers and employees of Scotch Lumber Company's Forestry Department.
