Roy Lavon Dunegan, 73, of Coffeeville died June 8, 2009 at a Mobile hospital.
He was born June 5, 1936. He was a member of Ulcanush Baptist Church. He was a retired merchant, owning Roy's Spur Station.
Survivors include five sons, Rory (Tiffany) Dunegan, Coffeeville, Eugene (Janet) Dunegan, Jackson, Greg (Wylynn) Dunegan, Grove Hill, Barry (Jamie) Dunegan, Clinton, IN, Byron (Glenda) Dunegan, Wagarville; three daughters, Anita Kay Cartee, Coffeeville, Melinda Stacey (Brent) Orso, Creola, Leigh Ann (Mark) McHaney, Scyrene; his mother, Carleen Autry Dunegan, Coffeeville; three brothers, Conway Dunagan, Duelon Dunagan, Hank Dunagan, all of Coffeeville; 20 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
The service was June 11 at 3 p.m. at the West Bend Baptist Church with Rev. Jessie Griffin officiating. Burial was in the West Bend Cemetery. Lathan Funeral Home of Jackson directed.
Active pallbearers were Jamey Dunagan, Ricky Dunagan, Ralph Dunagan, Stacey Dunagan, Artie Autry and Blake Autry.
