Thomas Eric Brooks, 61, of Coffeeville died June 23, 2009 at USA Medical Center in Mobile.

He was born July 6, 1947. He was a member of Grace Chapel Church and the Goco Coffee Club, both of Coffeeville. He was a retired truck driver for T & P Trucking.

Survivors include his wife, Paulette Brooks, Coffeeville; six sons, Greg (Petra) Autry, Johnny (Betty) Autry, all of Coffeeville, Craig (Minnie Sue) Alford, Carl (Patricia) Alford, Kevin (Delois) Alford, all of Jackson, Kent (Beth) Alford, McIntosh; one daughter, Sonja (Robert) Overstreet, Jackson; four sisters, Cindy Rankin, Panama City, FL, Susie (Jim) Bardine, Virginia Beach, VA, Beverly (Bob) McKay, Windsor, Canada, Patricia (Buck) Woodell, Grove Hill; 22 grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren.

The service was June 27 at 3 p.m. at New Faith Baptist Church in Coffeeville. Burial was in the Ulcanush Cemetery in Coffeeville. Lathan Funeral Home of Jackson directed.

Active pallbearers were Travis Overstreet, Ronald Alford, Cole Alford, Jared Autry, Taylor Autry, Christopher Autry, Christopher Van Landingham, Jimmy Bardine and Reggie Newton.

Honorary pallbearers were Ray Counselman, Grant Ellisor, Buddy Cotton, Johnny Bumpers, Keith Graham, Wayne Rascoe, Stanley Dunagan, Ronnie Craft, Julius Moss, Travis Glaze, Bobby Murphy and Bo Hodge.
