Several arrests have been made following a tip to Jackson Police that led to the discovery of a methamphetamine lab.
According to Jackson Assistant Police Chief Mark Harrell, Sunday morning, Officer Ben Marshall received information that led him to discover the lab at a location of East State Street. He contacted the First Judicial Drug Task Force (Task Force One) and Agent Carey Slayton responded.
Harrell said several arrests were made in connection with the incident, but the names of those arrested have not been released pending further investigation.
The lab, which was not in operation, was dismantled and removed by trained personnel. More arrests may be made as a result of the continuing investigation.
