Debra Sue Biggs, 56, of Hartselle, formerly Debra Sue Alday of Leroy died July 1, 2009 at her residence.
She was born June 28, 1953 to Agnew and Gladys Alday along with two brothers and five sisters. She was a member of the Pine Grove United Methodist Church of Leroy. She worked for NARCOG in Decatur. She attended Calhoun Community College where she was working on a Business Administration Accounting Technologies degree. She earned a 3.83 GPA and she was listed on the President's and Dean's list and was an honors scholar. She had been awarded many honors and scholarship awards.
Survivors include her daughter, Shalon (Wayne) Borden; two sons, Brandon Biggs, Saraland, Clint (Donna) Howard, Decatur; her mother, Gladys Alday, two brothers, Joseph Alday, John Alday, all of Leroy; three sisters, Margaret Spencer, Mobile, Earline Snypes, Daphne, Aline Zulick, Columbus, Ohio; four grandchildren, Andrew and Chase Howard, Austin and Ryan Borden,
She is preceded in death by two sisters, Pauline Hunt, Jackson and Warren Arch, Philadelphia, Penn. She had a very large extended family that stretched all across the southeast and will be greatly missed by everyone.
The service was July 6 at 2 p.m. at Pine Grove United Methodist Church in Leroy. Burial was in the Pine Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in Leroy. Lathan Funeral Home of Jackson directed.
