George Jackson Goldman, 90, of Millry died July 2, 2009 at his residence.
He was born Nov. 10, 1918 in Bigbee. He owned and operated an automotive repair shop and also owned a timber business. He loved gardening.
Survivors include his wife, Nell Ree Carpenter Goldman, Millry; three sons, Don (Lavone) Goldman, Pennington, Gene (Carol) Goldman, Randy (Diane) Goldman, all of Millry; three daughters, Judy (Gary) Shaw, Memphis, TN, Penny (Dale) Chapman, Millry, Dinah (James) Haley, Bay Minette; 13 grandchildren; 18 greatgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Washington Goldman and Minnie L. Richardson Goldman.
The service was July 3 at 3 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Koenton with Revs. Ferrell Mills, Mike Malloy and Dr. Paul Petcher officiating. Burial was in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Cemetery in Koenton. St. Stephens Funeral Home directed.
Active pallbearers were Taylor Shaw, Rodney Chapman, Alex Chapman, Thad Goldman, Neil Goldman, Greg Goldman and Aaron Everette.
