Dollie S. Anderson, 68, of Jackson died Aug. 29, 2009 in a Mobile hospital.
She was born July 19, 1941 in Jackson. She was a member of the Stave Creek Baptist Church. She was a member of the Alabama Education Association. She was a retired school teacher for the Clarke County School Board having taught at Gilmore Elementary and Jackson Intermediate Schools. She had also taught for 10 years at the former Salt Springs Academy in Jackson. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Franklin Anderson, Jackson; one son, Craig (Rebecca) Anderson, Jackson; one brother, Bobby (Wynema) Sheffield, Jackson; three grandchildren, Jeannie ReeAnne Anderson, Raegan Delaney Anderson, Jacob Keith Anderson, all of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by one son, Officer Brian Keith Anderson.
The service was Aug. 31 at 11 a.m. at Stave Creek Baptist Church with Revs. Jamie Lay and William Allison officiating. Burial was in the Stave Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Lathan Funeral Home of Jackson directed.
Active pallbearers were David Sheffield, Mike Sheffield, Leon Wade, Walt Wade, Louis Seaman and Newby Seaman.
Honorary pallbearers were the Senior Adult Ladies Bible Class of Stave Creek Baptist Church.
