Troy Lee Moore Sr., 89, of Grove Hill died Aug. 27, 2009 at Bryan W. Whitfield Hospital in Demopolis.
He was born March 15, 1920. He was a native of Cobbville. He was a member of Magnolia Assembly of God Church in Grove Hill. He served in the United States Army as a Tank Mechanic during World War II. He was selfemployed as owner and operator for years with Moore's Auto Repair in Grove Hill. He also worked five years prior to retiring for Stewart Buick in Jackson.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Schultz Moore, Grove Hill; two sons, Troy Lee Moore Jr., Alamogordo, N.M., Harold L. Moore, Grove Hill; two daughters, Elizabeth Willis, Ethel Higginbotham, both of Bainbridge, GA; 10 grandchildren; 12 greatgrandchildren.
A graveside service was Aug. 29 at 10 a.m. at Mathews Cemetery in Grove Hill with Rev. Billy Cardwell officiating. Lathan Funeral Home of Grove Hill directed.
