Practical Nursing (LPN) graduates

Graduates in the Practical Nursing (LPN) program included (in alphabetical order): Emily Allen, Lynestra Baldwin, Anissa Burton, Ember Champion, Jennifer Chapman, Christie Glass, Allison Kelly, Timica McCants, Tina Pugh, Lauren Railey, Maretta Robbins, Ashley Smith, Tami Taylor, Matthew Tyler, Kristen Weaver, Brittney White and Chassidy Whittington. Two summer Associate Degree Nursing graduates were also honored: Virginia Copeland and Teresa Johnson. MONROEVILLE — Alabama Southern Community College recently honored students in the Practical Nursing (LPN) department with a pinning ceremony.

Former Alabama Southern nursing graduate, Regina Nickelson, MSN, RN, CRNP, was the guest speaker for the event. Nickelson is employed at Physicians Care in Thomasville and also serves as an adjunct faculty member for the Alabama Southern nursing program.

Tina Pugh Two summer Associate Degree Nursing graduates were also honored: Virginia Copeland and Teresa Johnson.

For the first time, one graduate, Tina Pugh won all special awards. Special awards given were Most Outstanding Student, Florence Nightingale Award; Most Outstanding Student in Adult Health Nursing; Most Outstanding Student in Psychosocial Nursing; and Most Outstanding Student in Role Transition Nursing.
