Clarke Soil & Water taking cost-share applications
The Clarke County Soil & Water Conservation District has begun accepting applications for the Alabama Resource Conservation Program to allocate costshare funds for Program Year 2010. Under the program, a Clarke County landowner can be reimbursed 75% of the costs associated with the installation of approved conservation practices up to $5,000.
Practices available for cost-share are Forest Tree Plantation, Site Preparation and Forest Tree Plantation, Forest Tree Stand Improvement, Site Preparation for Natural Regeneration, Permanent Vegetative Cover on Critical Areas, Terrace Systems, Strip-cropping Systems, Diversions, Permanent Vegetative Cover Establishment, Sod Waterways, Animal Waste Control Facilities, Animal Waste Distribution on Grazing Land, Small Animal Incinerator, and Dead Poultry Composting.
