Debra Ann Anthony, 55, of Arlington died Sept. 17, 2009 at Southwest Alabama Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 10, 1954 in Grove Hill. She was a member of County Line Baptist Church. She was a retired elementary school teacher.
Survivors include her mother, Laura McGilberry, Lamison; two daughters, Laura Ashley (Randy) Thompson, Pine Hill, Amanda (Richard G.) Bender, Arlington; one brother, Dennis McGilberry, Thomasville; two sisters, Brenda McGilberry, Lamison, Gayle Bender, Pine Hill; three grandchildren, Austin Bender, Gavin Bender, both of Arlington, Carter Thompson, Pine Hill; one step-grandchild, Dylan Thompson, Pine Hill.
The service was Sept. 20 at 2 p.m. at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville with Revs. Marvin Smith and Mike Brening officiating. Burial was in the County Line Baptist Church Cemetery in Arlington.
Active pallbearers were Adam Bender, Phillip Dueitt, Lloyd Douglas Evans, Brent Roe, Chris Roe and David Stubbs.
Honorary pallbearers were Abe Cook, Melvin Downs, James Harvell, Joe McGilberry, Peter Frank McGilberry, Robbie McGilberry, Danny Morton and Jake Roe.
