Robert “Bob” Earl Amos, 73, of Thomasville died Sept. 27, 2009 at his residence.

He was born Sept. 11, 1936 in Jackson, MS. He was retired from the Alabama National Guard. He was a member of the Thomasville Church of God.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Knight Amos, Thomasville; two sons, Cliff (Tracy) Amos, Thomasville, David (Michelle) Amos, Brookfield, WI; one sister, Blanche Woods, Hazelhurst, MS; a granddaughter, Haley Amos, Thomasville.

The service was Sept. 29 at 1 p.m. at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Raymond Williams officiating. Burial was in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Thomasville with military honors.

Active pallbearers were Joe McKinley, Robert McKinley, Raymond Chunn, Steve Amos, Billy Amos and Charles Amos.

Honorary pallbearers were James McKinley, Brian Norris and Rusty Norris.
